Options in Applied Psychology (G543) and Approaches and Research Methods in Psychology (G544)
Options in Applied Psychology (G543) is 50% of your A2 psychology and consists of a 1.5 hour written paper.
For this applied psychology unit you will have to study any two of the following four options.
Forensic Psychology
Health and Clinical Psychology
Psychology of Sport and Exercise
Psychology of Education
In the exam you will have to answer two questions from each of your two chosen options. Four in total.
Approaches and Research Methods in Psychology (G544) is 50% of your A2 psychology and consists of a 1.5 hour written paper.
This question paper has two sections.
In section A (research methods) you will have to answer all of the questions based around the design of a practical project based on stimulus material.
In section B (approaches, perspectives, methods, issues and debates) you will have to answer one essay from a choice of two. These questions are designed to both stretch and challenge.

AS Unit G541: Psychological Investigations
This unit is 30% of your total AS psychology and consists of a 1 hour written paper marked out of 60.
Although you will have to learn four sections for this paper, you will only be asked questions on three of the sections.
The four sections are:
self report
experiment
observation
correlation

AS Unit G542 Core Studies
This unit is 70% of your total AS psychology and consists of a 2 hour written paper marked out of 120. The question paper has three sections.
Section A requires you to answer short questions related to each of the 15 core studies.
Section B requires you to answer one question, which requires considerable detail of one core study.
Section C requires you to answer one question from a choice of two focusing on approaches, issues and methods.
